wonderful query forum, this!

we're planning a trip to hornadu through hassan and sringeri. a few questions.

what's the distance from sringeri to horanadu and how's the road?

on our way back, on getting to chikkamagaluru, will it be worth going up to kemmangundi just for the drive? (going with family - no trekking)

if the deviation is worth it, what route do we take back to b'lore? and i would appreciate it if someone would tell me the extra distance and time required.

While there are 4 routes from Sringeri to Horanadu, the best route is Sringeri-SKBorder-Kudremukh-Kalasa-Horanadu.

Its about 80kms and a highway.

I remember reading on another thread that the Kudremukh-Kalasa road is in bad condition now. By the way you just replied to a 6 year old post :D
