Almost the entire India Trip that I recently did with TheOne® was on GoAir.

CDG is a terrible airport, chaotic and mismanaged for the average European.
For an Indian, it is a walk in the park.

Thanks Sam, your words were very confidence inspiring. Though june might be even more chaotic because of the peak season I guess.
BTW, this is my first european trip so any tips for surviving the airport menace (if any)?

Read. Look for signs. Don't ask for directions because this is something Europeans aren't used to.

Everything has a sign, look for it. And if you're alone, carry an MP3 player, lol.

From my experience - Indigo is best - Go is second best -(they have older aircrafts than indigo - hence occasional issues with them - hence the delay -but not experience any personally)

Air Deccan has recently improved I have heard - but after my experiences I dont want to fly them -

Low cost Indian Airlines tickets are sometimes similar in price to higher cost indigo/go (depending on lot of complicated circumstances - which none of same mortals know about) but sometimes worth a try there as well..

Hell yes, isn't that Bxx or its the C? I loved the airport. I landed at Terminal 4 and thought that 5 would be like next door. It took an 18 minute bus ride to get to Terminal 5 where I killed 4 hours doing nothing because internet at 1 pound for 10 minutes did not fascinate me. The gate was announced and it happened to be B36 which takes one elevator, one train and 2 escalators to reach. But I was amazed with the management. They did not lose my bag. .

Spicejet also charges Rs 100 for seat allocation, be it emergency exit or any other row.

Normally, in most of the LCCs, the emergency exit and the immediate row behind it has non-reclining seats. Thats been my experience in GoAir and Spicejet so far

I did last time, Mumbai-Delhi return. IMHO, it will be my 3rd choice in LCC. Spicejet is my 1st preference. Always on time flights (even during heavy Delhi fog!), 20kg check in baggage and very nice and courteous staff. Atleast they have the decency to serve water free of cost!

Indigo will be my 2nd preference and last would be Go Air. I was harrased quite a lot by Go Air people as I thought the baggage limit would be 20Kg (as is the case most other LCCs, except Deccan). Even though my baggage was just 2 kgs excess, they didnt let it pass without excess payment. Too unprofessional.

In all airlines, it's usually the emergency row and the immediate row ahead of the exit that are non-reclining.

But yeah, i didnt go for the emergency exit seat because my flight was one hour only.

But reclining or not, the extra leg space does help for tall people.
