Just an update in case anyone intends to do this route... certain stretches of the road are in really bad shape. This is especially true of the stretches in Karnataka. These are completely potholed thanks to rains. If anyone intends to do these stretches, I'd suggest not doing them at night. Other than that the roads are nice. I covered the distance in 8hrs 30mins or so.

Thanks, that was really nice of you to update us. Perhaps a mod should start a thread named 'latest info on road conditions' and keep it updated with feedback like this.
Any ideas, guys?

I did this route on 12th of this month. Really there are some bad stretches becauase of rains.

Some ***hole left the big stones on the road after repairing his vehicle. Had to go on them at high speeds and the rim got bent and alignment gone. I am happy that I am able to control my wagon-R well at 90 kmph.

I have also noticed lot of stones on the road between Done and Karnool. Really had to do some feets to escape them.

Re: Bangalore-Hyderabad road trip

I drove after 1 week when the flood hit Krishna River. The bridge in Kurnool was single lane and lot of filth and animal bodies mountained up spreading bad odor all over. But the sad plight is still condoled. :(
