Palghat - Coorg route query, urgent help reqd!

Hi All Ye Highway Experts!

Need urgent help - am starting from PGT in about 3 hors and every route option looks really bad.

Am finally planning to take the Nilambur - Gudalur - Mysore route because there's no news on the condition of that route and in todays condition no news is good news.

If anyone has taken that route recently, pls advice. Can you also post Mysore - Siddhapura options?

Although I have no update on the whole route, this is a mountainous route and I have seen this route crumble during the rains. Plus, roads in and around Gudalur have been in a bad shape for some time now. If you wish to Mysore, the best route option currently is via Coimbatore, Sathyamangalam, Bannari, Dimbam, Chamarajanagar and Nanjangud. In case you want to proceed directly to Coorg (where, Madikeri?), you can talke the Mysore bypass even before approaching Mysore city and go on.

Alternatively, why don't you try the road to Kozhikode via Perinthalmanna and link up through Vythiri/Kalpetta/Mananthavady to Kutta and Virajpet en route Siddapura?
