Hello Bhpians,

I am willing to travel to Nagarhole during the weekend. I prefer to stay in JLR only. I saw an option called JLR Kings Sanctuary. Is this near Veeranahosahalli gate or near Nagarhole Safari point near Kutta gate?

Last time when I travelled to Nagarhole Safari point, I can see that there are JLR jeeps available which are also taking non JLR people if seats are available. What are those JLR jeeps? Also, I saw a JLR campus near Kutta side.

I prefer to stay near Kutta side. Please give me suggestions.

For Nagarahole - stay in Kabini River Lodge and take the Maharaja cottage which is facing the river, you can also photograph birds right there. This would be the Dammanakatte entry, JLR is also close to this gate - its actually the Manathavady road, straight from Handpost.

JLR Jeeps take people from the safari booking place if there are free seats, JLR safari is longer and costlier than usual Forest department vehicles.

JLR is usually booked for months in advance during peak tiger season.

Thanks Kosfactor. Kabini river lodge is full already. I am planning to go to Nagarhole. I was asking if we have any JLR's near to Nagarhole.

Kings is the one then. It used to be a private resort earlier, but now run by JLR. I have not stayed there but with JLR you have better probability on the setup. They normally have their own safaris but in any case the safari point seems to be nearby.
