I am planning to travel to Kanpur from Ghaziabad (Indirapuram). I need assistance on the shortest route and also the approximate Kms. and the road conditions. Also would appreciate if someone could inform me about the loo stops and good eateries on the way. I would travel with my family and plan to leave Indirapuram around 4:00AM.

NH2 is the best option available.
It is in a very good shape till Kanpur.
Delhi-Agra-Ettawah-Kanpur is superfast althrough.
There should be several stops between Delhi-Agra, but you'll not need them probably, if you start at 4 AM.
You can plan your breakfast at Ettwah bypass. There are several decent dhabas with clean toilets.
You should reach Kanpur by lunch time.

Crossing Agra before 8am would be best, traffic gets very heavy post 8Am

I used the A1 Plaza before Etawah. Food should still be available.

I'm going to strongly digress. I use that highway mostly overnight. It is ultra safe.
I would much rather recommend that you travel overnight - during daytime, Agra/Mathura/Ferozeabad would be a mess, as would the whole Kanpur traffic. You should wrap it up in 5 hours of driving from Faridabad till the elevated section 20km short of Kanpur.

Loo stops: MacDees (daytime), Agra has decent restaurants.

I agree. Delhi-Kanpur NH2 is safe, unless you are extremely unlucky. Just watch out around Ghaziabad until you hit NH2. Also, watch out for tractors going the wrong way with lights on or off.

The Reliance A1 plaza , after the Allahabad Bypass at NH2 could not even serve bread-butter in the early morning. Toilets were worse.

You don't need an A1 plaza at Ettawah. There are several decent dhabas.
