After familymart - Reebok signal take left. Travel around 8 kms , then you'll find a flyover being constructed, take a right turn there.

Its a simple right turn, after Thalghatpura(if I remember the name correctly), you'll see a overhead bridge after a petrol bunk. You need to take a right there.

Folks - Apologize if this question has been answered and I've overlooked it.
But I thought it better to clarify the gray areas I still have in my mind

I've gone through the whole thread and here is my understanding:
Taking NICE from Bannerghatta Road is a BIG NO-NO.
That means NICE access from BG road is bad.

However, if I'm already on NICE Road - say - from Electronic City going towards Mysore Road...... How is NICE Road itself when it crosses BG Road? Is it doable or the same problem exists?

Bottomline - is NICE Road ITSELF broken at BG Road intersection or is just the access that is the problem?

Thanks for your patient answers..

Cheers..

NICE road itself is broken. Unless you have a Safari/Scorpio stay away from Bannerghatta access to NICE and use Kanakpura access to NICE road instead.

If you are coming from Eletronic city and want to come to BG road, there is another alternative. Come from the road where Ajmera Infinity is located and keep coming straight towards West. Keeping following the well laid road and ask directions at couple of junctions and you are all set. The road is actually quite good. However you come out to BG road further south of NICE junction (Gotigere) and you have travel all the way back to Outer Ring road to go to NICE. If you have a vehicle with higher ground clearance, you can give a shot at NICE access road from BG road.

Guys,

I used this route daily to commute to work on my bike. No doubt, the roads about 1.5 km either side of Bannergatta road are pathetic, but it is not as if one cannot use it.

After reading this thread last night, I could not resist any longer and took the route on my 3 day old Palio Stile.

Nothing but the tyres touched the ground. You just need to be patient and let the car roll, taking care to avoid craters and you will be fine. I live in Kumaraswamy layout and commute to Electronic City every day. This route helps me get to work in about 35-40 mins.

The alternate route would be SILK BOARD - BTM - ORR. That route would let me get to work in 1 hour 15 mins - on a realtively traffic free day

The Ajmera Infinity route to BG road is a great alternative, but there is some drainage construction going on near the BG Road junction, so watch out for construction debris on the road.

Cheers,
Rajan

Guys, the roads are not so pathetic as you are mentioning here. I usually commute on this road twice/week on my ikon and never had an instance of my car touching the ground except tyres. Only thing is you should allow the car to roll itself and never cross 10/15 kmph lo you have crossed this road. Today morning I went in this "kachha" road and everything was OK except my car has become dirty with mud splash.

You cannot take the NICE road till mysore... its just a connecting road. if you want to go till mysore then Mysore road is the one you have to take.

The BG Road - Hosur Road section of the NICE corridor is nice but traffic is catching up. Approach road from BG Road to Nice road is pathetic.
