Looking for a good road map for southern states

I'm looking for a detailed (upto district-level) road map/atlas for Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

Any suggestions on where to look for what to buy?

Regards
Rex

Eicher maps are the best that I have seen. They come detailed views. If possible invest in an all India one. About 300 Rs. Mapmyindia.com gives a overall picture with driving directions. I was surprised to see my small village in Kerala shown on mapmyindia.com

For an all India road map, Eicher is very good.
If you really want district level maps, go for IMS.

Lonely Planet maps are very good. I have used them many times. Currently I'am also searching this for till now have not got hold of the same. My friend has one. It is a sort of Booklet with very detailed maps including the inner roads and the distances from one point to another point.

For online maps mapmyindia.com is the best.

But do not blindly follow the driving directions it gives. It's not upto the level of yahoo maps.

Wikimapia - Let's describe the whole world!
maps.google.com
in.maps.yahoo.com

These are my usual favorites.

In addition, I keep an Eicher India Road Atlas.
You can try TTK state road maps also..

I have not felt the need to go beyond what wikimapia.org offers. Select the 'hybrid' view, and that's all you'd need.

Buy the IMS district-wise maps, they are very detailed, have very few mistakes. TTK also publishes district maps, but they are not as good. Eicher Road Atlas of India is the worst map publication that I have seen in over 2 decades in India - it has lots of mistakes and is misleading.

Now you tell me :( after I have spent Rs.370 on it
Just kidding...
I found TTK and Eicher but did not see any "IMS" maps at the bookstore.. Where can you get them from? Anywhere online?

I picked up few state maps from IMS last weekend. They look good. I'm driving south this weekend and taking some roads which I've never traveled. Will update how the maps helped me.

Also picked an Outlook '52 weekend destinations from Bangalore'. That too contain some good maps.

Regards
Rex

IMS is a map publisher from Delhi. You get their detailed district-wise maps in most major book stores.
