Cochin - Munnar : Route/Climate Queries

Does anyone has got any information on road condition from cochin - munnar - devikulam - chinnakanal - pooppara - nedumkandam?

Planning a weekend drive and any information on this route would be very useful.

Hi Friends, I have a trip from Alleppey (a place called Cherthala) to Munnar tomorrow. May I know the best route to choose in terms of road conditions and traffic? Google maps shows one via NH49 and another via Thaneermukkam - Thodupuzha. Which one is better?
