Route to Mangalore from Thane / Mumbai

Hi,
Take the 1st route. There aren't any mining trucks on that route nowadays.
All the overnight buses take the same route too.
Remember to take the short cut after dharwad toll bypassing Hubli . this road is towards kalghatgi, but is easy to miss.
What you need to plan is the fueling stops. Ideally you should be able to refuel in ankola at the pump next to Kamats, which will take you to Mangalore. The distance between hinjewadi and Mangalore is approximately 835 kms.

Anyone on a recent drive from Mumbai to mangalore? Planning a drive this weekend need to know the road conditions and any interesting food joints enroute .Plan to break the journey as I plan to leave Mumbai around 11 am
