Is there a comprehensive Travel Guide available?

like I said before, lonely planet is the bible of all things travel in India, gives you details of maps, where to go,when to go, how much to pay, where to stay, what to look out for. blah blah

but i'd much rather you spend 1000 bucks and buy it yourself. its a heirloom. our 2002 edition is very much prized in the family!
