Thanks for the pretty comprehensive information Jammy ! Plans are yet to be confirmed but thinking of making the trip around the 10th of April.

There is a Club Mahindra property "Lake Forest" there. The food was ok at their restaurant. This is very near to the lake.

I have been there with the Civic, and except for a huge hump on NH7 newly put up near and upcoming toll gate, its a pleasure drive.

Do take the loop road once in yercaud, its nice

This feedback is much appreciated. I'm going by Civic and will be staying at Club Mahindra.

Seems like there are many tbhpians who are planing a trip to Yercaud around Apr 10-12. I am one too! Should we plan a mini-tbhp meet there?

Why not ? Am yet to get confirmed bookings though, let's regroup once we all finalise our plans.

folks - any good Hotels other than Grand Palace & Sky Roca? Not able find a reservation in both now.

Hey, me too going to be there 10-13th, staying at grand palace. Look out for my Landcruiser 80.

Facing the same problem, have got names of a few more hotels in Yercaud but am not sure at all about how good the accomodation is. May give Yercaud a miss simply because we did'nt plan in advance well enough !

Yes, we stayed in one of the 'bunglows' - it is a large bedroom with a sitout and other standard amenities.

The place is called 'Lake Forest Hotel', a 18th century building about 5 min walk from the Lake.

This place is a Club Mahindra affiliate.

Place is good - food needs improvement.
