Hyderabad to Akkalkot near Solapur - Suggestions Needed

Hi folks

Would any of you have any suggestions on driving down from Hyderabad to Akkalkot (a place 40 kms from Solapur)?Which route will be good to take?

Also any suggestions on places to stay in Akkalkot? If Akkalkot does not have too many places to stay, we are ok staying in a nearby city like Solapur.

Please revert with your suggestions.

From Hyderabad, NH-9 all the way to Naldurg. Turn left towards Akkalkot.

I guess you'll be on a piligrimage to Swami Samarth. I will suggest you take a room at their premises. The place doesnt really have very good hotels or restaurants there, since the town is known for it's temple, apart from being the taluka place.
