Serviced Apartment in Goa

I am looking to take a break (sabbatical) from my IT job and spend some time in Goa. Some of the websites like Ownersdirect should options starting from 50 Sterling Pound per week (Equivalent to 16000 INR). What I am looking at is a more economical option, but not cheap at the cost of convenience and facilities.

My question is that has anyone in this forum has availed such facilities at Indian prices. Or do I need to look for typical sea-side Goan rent apartments. I am looking to chill out during this time and don't want outside intrusion and would prefer to have something independent and not like living with a family with a 'Paying Guest' tag. My budget is upto 8-10 grands for a month, no more, no less.

Any suggestions? Place & Budget.

Place where sam stayed quoted 65 Per day. I called them to make arrangements for a friend who stayed there for 5 days.

Try calling them, might give you better package since you are planning a long stay.

Pounds sterling? Or rupees?

Im guessing you mean rupees (?) - and if so, im guessing this was also a seasonal deal, being in the midst of the monsoon.
I'd be interested to know what the rates for the same place are in Sept-Nov if anyone knows.

Thanks,
R
