Route to Wayanad & Ooty

Hello..
I am in search of directions from Bangalore to Ooty & Wayanad. I guess the route Bangalore-Mysore-Nanjangud upto Gudalur is common for both the destinations. Could you please give me directions to proceed from Gudalur to Ooty & Gudalur to Wayanad. Any idea on the latest conditions of the roads??

Bangalore-Mysore-Nanjangud-Gundlupet

Till here its same for both

Just after Gundlupet city ends, there is a road going towards right that leads you to Wayanad

and if you go straight(slightly towards left) you will proceed towards Bandipur and then Ooty

Hope this helps

Gundulpet - Bandipur entrance should be so so.. otherwise the routes are all great.

I did Bangalore - Ooty 2 times this year. Once in April first week and again in May second week. Just go through the numerous travelogues on Ooty trip and you'll come to know that only issue is the bad strech for about 10 Kms. between gundulpet and Bandipur. Be carefule between Mysore and Nanjungud as this is accident prone zone. After Nanjungud, it's very good.

You can do a clockwise or anticlockwise route..Blore-Mysore -Sulthan Bathery (waynad) - Gudalur -Ooty- Kalahatti- Madhumalai-Bandipur- Mysore - Bangalore.
If you want to climb the kalahatti ghats do the reverse of the above!
The roads all round are fantastic except from Bandipur to Gudlupet. which is quite bad

was looking for road conditions towayanad but didnt really get recent update. So thought if anyone else needs to know the condition, this would be helpful.

The route i took to go to Wayanad was the Blr-Mysore-Gundalpet-Sultan bathery-Kalpetta. The entire route is very good and hence good to travel. I travelled in a Figo, completely loaded and didnt have any problems anywhere. Just need to be careful of the Mysore road 'Invisible' speed breakers (if you travel in the day, they should not be an issue)
