I suggest this route and places:
1. Day 1 leave Bangalore in the morning at 6 AM or 7 AM and reach KemmanGundi by 2PM. Bangalore - Hassan - Chikamagalur - KaiMara - KemmanGundi (300km). I suggest stay in GreenDale (its VFM considerring good food and accomadation and wonderfull nature view!) which itself is excellant place to enjoy! Same day afternoon you can cover Mullayana Giri and Seetalayana Giri which would give you excellant trekking experience in reains with dense FOG. Watch out for leeches.
2. Day 2 Leave Kemmangundi at 8AM itself and In suggest avoid Hebbe Falls because you need to go by Jeep and in rainy season its very difficult to visit that place. Instead cover Dattatreya Peeta and Manikyadhara falls, KemmanGundi Raj Bhavan area like Shanti Falls, Z point (please avoid trekking in Z point in rainy season). Carefull about leeches. It would be 3PM by the time you cover these places considerring bad road condition with ghat. From there travel to Tarikere -> Shimoga and stay in the Hotel Jewel Rock ( which has good food with best accomodation). Its 3 hours drive to Shimoga from Kemmangundi.
3. Day 3 Leave Shimoga early and take Sagar road and take left in ayanur to Kollur via ribbonpet - hosanagara - nagara - nagodi - kodachadri - kollur and take Devi darshan and proceed further to Murdeshwar, here I suggest you try visiting Maravanthe beach which is worth (might take extra 2 hours to cover that). Shimoga to Kollur would take 2 and half hours and visting maravanthe beach 2 hours on the way and have lunch in Murdeshwar and spend 2 hours and proceed towards Shimoga via Honnavar - Jog - Sagar - shimoga and by 7PM you can reach Shimoga.
Shimoga - Kollur = 150km
Kollur - Maravanthe beach = 50km
Maravanthe beach - byndoor - Bhatkal - Murdeshwar = 80km
Murdeshwara - Honnavar - Jog - sagar - Shimoga = 200km Here if its getting too late stay in Sagar which has quiet ok hotel so you can save 70km on day3. Day 4 If you cover on day 3 like I mentioned you can easily reach Bangalore by 2pm.
If you stay in Murdeshwara on Day3 also thats fine you can drive back to Bangalore come via jog falls and its right time to visit since its raining now. this year we cant expect reservoir to get filled so no way to release the water in near future unless some miracle happens by rain GOD. If time is not wasted in between and you leave murdeshwara by 6am sharp you can reach Bangalore by 3pm by coverring Jog Falls on the way.
If you avoid Kemmangundi you can cover Udupi. But right now I suggest Kemmangundi rather than Udupi.
Hope this helps. Call me or Pm me for any help!
Regards,
Ravi.
