Oh... its way better than that! By all means you should get on to GST and go via Ulundurpet. Only when you near Salem, there are some diversions as the 4-lane is not complete yet.
But otherwise its smooth.
PS : By the way, your handle tells your were a gamer ages back? That was the last I played! |
Thanks for your help :). I took the Ulundurpet route and the roads were very good. There was only one diversion nearer to Salem. I reached within 5 hrs inspite of a leisurely drive.
OT- Regarding the game - yeah I was. Recently android has brought out the gamer in me again :)
Hey everyone! I am going to travel to Chennai from Namakkal via Salem in my bike for the first time. Need suggestion on what routes to take and anything to keep in mind. Should I follow the map showing route or is there a better and faster route with good roads. My tank range is around 250 to 280kms so need to stop for fuel breaks. Thanks!

If you are planning for Salem route, its advisable to follow the usual Attur-Ulunderpet route. The roads are decent and plenty of refueling options are available. Its better to avoid late evening or early morning rides to minimize risks. Stay safe and enjoy your trip!
