Kolkata to Garh Panchakot

Hi
I am going to Garh Panchakot (in Purulia) on 23rd August from Calcutta. Could someone please give me the details of the route? I just know one turns left from Asansol. And then ........?
My only confidence stems from the fact that I have gone to more remote places with less information. But this time if someone gives me some direction we could save some time

Thanks Planet. I did search the forum before posting but I guess I got the spelling different from the one written by Saurav. But anyway, thanks for directing me in the correct direction. Will post a log sheet with turn by turn directions once I am back.

hi Sudipto,

Becareful about Panagarh Strectch , Expect Horrible Roads , long Traffic
snarls between this stretch. I have been there last week while on my
way to Durgapur , got stuck for 2 hours.

Where you will be staying, is it WBFDC Cottages ?

Awaiting for your Travelogues on Garpanchkoat .

Cheers

Yes Capt Dey WBFDC cottage. I once got caught in the Panagarh snarl up while going to Shantiniketan in the evening (before Dol). Even turning right from Darjeeling morth was difficult due to huge truck line. Locals said it was a regular phenomenon.
Morning experiences, however, have been generally not so bad. Where were you stuck and at what time of the day?

Sorry Mate , It was a Typo , not Guskara , it was "Galsi" on Durgapur Expressway .
After Burdwan before Panagarh.

A colleague who went to Santiniketan on 15th spent three hours covering the distance between the bridge outside Panagarh to Darjeeling Morth (a distance of about 3km, I think). I don't know what to do except pray.
Thanks for the Galsi clarification. I was really foxed there
