NH-7 from bangalore to Hyderabad is one straight(!) road with only deviations where work is still going on!
You will be able to reach from HIAL to BIAL within 8-10 hours depending on speed + no. of breaks you take.

As Pulsar said, just take the road past Shamshabad airport and keeping going straight till you see Bangalore. In your Santro you can easily do it in 9 hours if you start early in the morning.

Hyderabad to Bangalore is very straight forward but.

I once had a biker who took left turn into Ananthapur because the route was via Ananthapur.

Just remember to remain on the highway till you reach Bangalore.

Do not follow buses or trucks very closely.
A friend of mine ran his Wagon R over a stone and damaged the petrol tank. The stone was small enough to be hidden under a bus, but large enough to demolish the tank.
Of course this advice holds good for most Indian road.

That's a very long term plan, friend!
We might run into few more pages before we reach December and have more updates by then! Until then, keep checking this thread!

You can expect a little more traffic and a slight chill. Please remember to carry a jacket, something that we don't need in Hyderabad.

a jacket is definitly not what i need used to winters close to 0 degrees.
what i need is a smooth road.

wonder why it takes 8-9 hours for 550kms where here it takes mae 4-4.5 hours only
guys do u think once all the construction is over we can reduce travel time to 5-6 hours

when is the constructionexpected to end anyways!!!

I thought that for Indian driving conditions 8 hours for 550 kms is fantastic speeds!

To give you comparatives of Indian 4-lane road timings:
Bombay-Bangalore, 1050 kms, 12 hours
Bombay-Delhi, 1450 kms, 18 hours
Bombay-Pune, 150 kms, 2.50 hours

i do agree these are stnd timings but with newer and lovely 4 laned roads one should be able to maintain 120km/h and reach hyd-bng in 5-6 hours max
once the construction is complete!!!!

Inspite of the most high tech road design & constructions, remember this is India.
You'll be doing 140 kph and an old woman would just walk across the 4-lane highway like it was a rural street.

To reach Yatri nivas (SP Road) while driving from Bangalore , which is the better route to take? via Zoo park, city or via LB Nagar, Tarnaka side?

thanks in advance.

To be a bit more precise, it is:-

Hyderabad Shamshabad Airport -> Inner Ring Road->MehdiPatnam -> Masab Tank -> Banjara Hills Rd #1 -> Panjagutta->Begumpet->Yatri Niwas on SP Road.
