I usually start by 6:30 - 7 from Marathahalli and reach Food Pyramid max by 1:30 after having a breakfast break at Nandi Upachar for 30-45 mins and another coffee/loo break of 15 mins somewhere in between.

Great, let me plan like that, the point is, if we reach before 12PM, some restaurants are not having food ready. To avoid losing time while waiting and wasting, thought of finding some good restaurants which do not have any time constraints.

There are multiple good options available. However, I prefer not to experiment much with food joints and stick to something that's tried and tested. Food pyramid ticks all the required boxes like ample parking space, a clean washroom, and decent food. So I stick to that. Also, as it's a food court, the service is fast and we spend comparatively lesser time in terms of the break.

Did the Bangalore - Hyderabad drive on 22nd Oct and it took 9 hours from ECity to Shamshabad and another hour to Alwal.

Had breakfast at Nandi Upachar and Lunch at Food Pyramid. It was an excellent drive and no issues at all.

Back from Hyderabad and it was an awesome drive as usual.

While returning had lunch at Vivaha Bhojanambu, Anantapur. This is a new one and must visit. Food was awesome and portions are very high, so need a good cup of tea to re-activate after a heavy meal.

Did BLR - HYD on 22nd Oct.
Started 230am (Begur, South BLR)
Reached shamshabad at 1045am with a break of 90 mins at Food pyramid.
Speed guns around jadcherla - saw online challan for 1000 Rs for a speed of 93 kmph(Limit - 80)

One suggestion - please check telangana police site for challans. i didnt get any SMS but curiously checked and found this one.

Thank you all for the wealth of information - went through the last few pages. I see that the last post is a month old. Planning to drive from Hyderabad on 16th Dec and from Bangalore on 18th Dec. Traveling with kids and elders so wanted to check if the roads are good with tarmac relaid post rains.

I'm traveling from Hyderabad to Kerala and wanted to know if there is anyway I can Bypass Banglore.

I'm planning to start morning 5am and with multiple breaks expecting to reach devanahalli around 4 pm.
Taking a night break in Hosur.

Is Taking NH44 towards Hosur is the best option or is there any way I can skip banglore and reach hosur?

As I'm traveling for the first time via this route 8m not well aware of the road and want to avoid narrow unmarked roads.

Not the answer to your query but we Hyderabadis have been pampered with ORR. Unfortunately, you may not find it in most of the big cities.

When i travelled to BLR from HYD in July, there was a diversion at Kurnool city, where a new flyover was being constructed. I had to take the service road for nearly 1.5 kms.

Has this been completed?
