Guys, anyone recently traveled the Madikeri-Sulia-Subramanya route? Due to monsoon the road may be bad but is it just bad or horrible? Planning to go there next week.

Also any comments on getting from Subramanya to Dharmastala pls?

Just two days back I visited Subramanya and Dharmasthala.

I don't know about the road from Madikeri, as I traveled from Mangalore.

I went to Dharmasthala from Subramanya like this (I believe this is the best option):

1) From Subramanya take the road to Gundya check post on NH48 (23 km). The road till Gundya is newly laid and in very good condition.
2) Turn left from Gundya and travel on NH48 for 17 km till you reach a junction where the road towards right goes to Dharmasthala. There is a sign board before you approach this junction so you won't miss it. This 17 km on NH48 is very bad with big potholes at most of the bends.
3) Once you fork away from NH-48, Dharmasthala is just 22 km away. The road is good.

Much of the 60 km distance between Subramanya and Dharmasthala pass through evergreen forests. You will enjoy the drive.
