Current status of NH5 at Cuttak

Anybody has information regarding
current status of NH5 at Cuttak
and in particular in & around orissa area.

I had travelled just last week on NH5 from Vizag to Kolkata

NH5 is great from vizag till almost 250 km after which the road construction is on and you have to take detour through townships and inner village roads (earlier highways) and they are in bad shape for almost 80 km, so watch out for the left turn on the NH5. After the exact 80km bad stretch ( it is really potholed and you will not go above 50 kmph) again NH5 starts swinging and it really great travelling on that road, of course i havent travelled anywhere else in Orissa on that road, i suppose this is the only stretch of NH5

Just wait till evening. I can give you the latest updates of Orissa.

basu has left for Kolkata last night. I got his last SMS at 6AM where he told that he passed Rajahmundry. Hopefully he should be cruising on NH5 now.

Update

Basu has reached Kolkata. He reached Kolaghat at 2AM and experienced bad roads after Cuttack as expected.

I think for you going till Cuttack / BBsr shouldnot be a problem.

NH5/60 is terrible from Bhadrak onwards north, first-gear drive, avoid at all costs till repaired hopefully by year-end.

i was planning through this road , now i think i have to take NH7 only.. Thanks for update ...

Has anybody travelled by NH5 in orissa recently? I want to know the current condition, specially after this year's bumper monsoon.
Planning a Hyd-Kolkata drive this weekend. Any info on the current condition of NH5 will be appreciated.
Heard from some indirect source that the Bhubaneshwar-Kolkata stretch has gone bad. Can anybody confirm? And what is the status at Ichapuram?
