Indian Roadways Path Finder!

Was searching for route info from Bilaspur, Chattisgarh to Indore, Madhya Pradesh. I found this website accidentally & am amazed by the info i got. Must be useful for many fellow T-BHPians who may be poor at navigation like me!

Anyways! Here is the link:
Distance between cities,Shortest path finder

Enjoy!

Great initiative!
Although needs some improvement to be of any real world use.

For once they should provide a feature where they can map the route by only using NHs where ever possible. (or as much NH as possible) rather than routing through some small state roads.

Can we just make a sticky with all map/way finder sites in a thread?

In my GPS from satguide, you have a choice to select quickest route or the shortest route. Quickest route always takes NH to the maximum extent and the last leg to small roads. Shortest is as it is - any road which reduces the KM.

I guess map my india also has this feature. Their free online tool normally gives a good route overview. If you do not like then you can always tell the tool to route via a certain place.

@ rahul,
the link about distance you have mentioned shows shortest distance between two locations. it does not meant that it is drivable road.
i have checked it for baramati-pune route.
the map shows that the shortest dist is baramati-supa-jejuri-phursungi-pune.
actually, baramati-jejuri is direct road of 50 km while map shows it by supa covering 56 km.
jejuri -pune via saswad-phursungi-hadpsar is 50 km while map shows it only 36 km.
map showings and reality are different.
