For Hyderabad to Nagpur route : Find details below. (1st column for distance, 2nd for time & 3rd for toll paid)

(You have patchy roads just for 15-20 Kms). Rest is all fine.

Nagpur - Jabalpur road is not in the best condition.

Note :-
1) Tank up at Adilabad (bypass). You have 2-3 good petrol bunks.
Later you dont have good options till Nagpur.
2) Carry food, since till Nagpur - you may not find good options to stop.
Thank you for the detailed info. Do you have the info from Bangalore to Nagpur?

Also, any updates on the patches and latest road conditions?

Hi Sridhar, for Bangalore to Nagpur, I guess you will take the bangalore-hyderabad-Nagpur route.
Now you have got the road info for Hyd-Nagpur stretch.
Get the Bangalore-Hyderabad stretch info here, on this thread.
http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/route-...ml#post2383831

To sum it up, all through the distance from Blr-hyd, roads are 4 laned and in very good conditions. You can do blr-hyd in around 7 hrs and for more details on places for eating, breaks, etc, refer the above thread.

re: Hyderabad to Nagpur : Route Queries

Hyderabad to Nagpur is almost complete except for a few stretches.
Between Kamareddy-Nizamabad some stretches are incomplete for probably about 30-40kms.
Nizamabad-Adilabad is complete four laned.
Need to fill fuel at Adilabad.
From AP border to Hinganghat the road is being four laned but with diversions.
Day journey will be comfortable.
If you are driving this section in the night be on the slower side as some of the incomplete sections suddenly ends and have to take the diversions and the directions are not well marked.
From Hinganghat it is four laned upto Nagpur.
Hope this helps

re: Hyderabad to Nagpur : Route Queries

The 60 kms stretch between Kamareddy and Armoor is not completely ready yet. There are lot of diversions on that stretch. Once you cross Perkit, just after Armoor, the road is fine.

Very easily, assuming you bypass Hyderabad.

Possible with a early start by max 4-4:30 a.m from Bangalore.
Reach hyderabad by around 11:30-12p.m and then can reach Nagpur by around 6:30-7p.m maximum, depending on how you drive.

re: Hyderabad to Nagpur : Route Queries

Guys,

Bangalore - Nagpur is definitely doable in a day.
I did it twice. Once in day time and also in night.
  • If you are leaving from Bangalore, start by 4 AM and you can easily reach Hyd airport by 10.30 AM.
  • Take diversion to your left at hyd airport towards Gadchibowli.
  • Go via this outer ring road, kukkatpally, Balanagar and hit NH7 again.
  • Its a straight way thereafter.
  • Crossing Hyd through this route in day time may take 1 hour.
  • After this, it will take another 6 hours to reach Nagpur.
  • Make sure you tank up at Adilabad (3-4 pumps at Adilabad bypass), there are no good places for fuel stop till Nagpur outskirts.
  • Total cost in tolls (BNG - NAG) is Rs.450 (aprox).
I have done this journey in 13.5 hrs during day time and 14.5 hrs during night. (With minimum stops).

Good luck and drive safe !

Thank you for the useful info. What was your average speeds during your day journey?

Any information about food on the highway would be helpful.

re: Hyderabad to Nagpur : Route Queries

Hi Sridhar,

If you start from Bangalore at 4 AM :-

1) You reach Gooty toll gate in 4 hours or 4.5 hours (300 Kms aprox). You have ghar dhaba on your left just after this toll gate.
2) If you want to stop early, you have Ghar dhaba just after BIAL. Else, you may find some hotels on way to Hydbad.
3) Real problem is after Hydbad, its better to have your lunch while bypassing Hydbad or just after Hydbad (in outskirts). Thereafter not many places to eat.
4) Pack enough food & drinks to save time on your stoppages.

Good luck !

re: Hyderabad to Nagpur : Route Queries

Thanks for all the inputs guys! Also, I hear that Nehru ORR is now open to traffic for bypassing Hyderabad. This is the one passing through Muthangi and hits NH7 (north of HYD) near Medchal. Anyone used this?

Google Maps show this Jawaharlal Nehru Outer Ring Road [JNORR] from the south to the north of NH7 to bypass Hyderabad. But, MMI maps show only partial JNORR. However, I have been guided to take Gachibowli>Miyapur>Medchal to bypass Hyderabad while driving from Bangalore to Nagpur. Strangely, my MMI Lx130 navigator with the latest v6.0 maps guides me through Hyderabad although my starting point was Bangalore, and the destination, Nagpur!
