Bangalore to Hyderabad - 7 Tolls costing in total of Rs.428

Hyderabad to Nagpur - 5 Tolls costing in total of Rs.210

1) You reach Gooty toll gate in 4 hours or 4.5 hours (300 Kms aprox). You have ghar dhaba on your left just after this toll gate.
2) If you want to stop early, you have Ghar dhaba just after BIAL. Else, you may find some hotels on way to Hydbad.
3) Real problem is after Hydbad, its better to have your lunch while bypassing Hydbad or just after Hydbad (in outskirts). Thereafter not many places to eat.
4) Pack enough food & drinks to save time on your stoppages.

I had been on to the Medak highway today the ORR is not ready and lot of bridge work is going on and it is still mud road as shown in the google map upto Muthangi.
From airport to Gachibowli is complete.
The map that IndianNomad has put up is perfect follow that to bypass Hyderabad.

Thanks guys. The reason I got confused is given below - Google Maps already shows this as a viable option for bypassing HYD.

Been to Buti Bori, which is around 20 kms before Nagpur. The roads till Hyd entrance is excellent. There is small work going on just before Hyd, nothing big to worry about...

Heard that bikes are not allowed on ORR , so rode piercing through city

From Hyd, the road is good for around 120 kms and then there is road work for around 60 kms till Armur. Road quality improves, but still lot of one side roads (two lane on one side and work going on other side of divider) for another 50 kms. Excellent roads around Adilabad with lots of greenery around. Some 20kms bad stretch near Hinganghat. It was not so bad as I was still cruising at 100+ speeds.

I took around 13 hrs one way in a night+morning journey...

Escaped paying toll at all the toll gates

ORR should make an exception for the HDs atleast.

WOW on a bike! Well thats HD and meat for this

Hope the road between Hyd & Nagpur improve - its high time, I did this route in Dec 2010 - not much has changed there then.

Reviving this thread as I am driving from Bangalore to Nagpur later in the year. Any improvements to the Hinganghat - AP/MH border stretch? I understand that remainder is already 4-laned.

Thanks Ravi. Looks like not much has changed since I did that stretch in December 2010. That 100 kms will easily take you 2.5-3 hours

Did the Hyderabad - Nirmal - Hyderabad route last week in my Optra Magnum. Took me an hour to reach Kamareddy (120 kms) from Bowenpally. The 4 laning work on the Kamareddy to Perkit stretch is still going on and there are lot of diversions. Speed slows down till perkit and after that it is smooth drive till Nirmal.

Total time takes from Hyderabad to Nirmal 2 hrs 30 mins with 2 toll gate stops and 2 loo breaks.

On the way back I stopped at Nizamabad on Sat night and started to Hyd yesterday at 3.15 PM. Drove sedately and reached home @ Banjara Hills by 6 PM.

Once the 4 lane is ready Hyderabad - Nirmal should be fun to drive with all major towns bypassed and should take about 2.15 hours max.
