Team-BHP - Mumbai to Panchgani via Wai

We are planning to go to Panchgani this weekend and were told to take the Pune Expressway and Wai. Does anybody have the details directions to reach Wai as this is my first time drive to that place. I tried searching on the net but am not getting a clear picture.

Hi,

Don't have exact directions but here are some rough ones that should help. After finishing the expressway continue going straight on the bypass road and just follow the road for approx 100 kms. You will reach a toll naka (2nd one) followed by a one way ghat road at approx 90-95 kms from Poona. Once you finish the ghat and rejoin the highway you will see a bridge in the middle of the road( approx 5-7 kms) under construction(maybe complete now) below which you have to turn right. there are sign boards there.

mumbai-expressway-pune-take dehuroad katraj by pass-drive straight on all overbridges-do not turn anywhere- shindewadi tunnel-nh4 toward satara-continue on this highway-toll naka1-continue-toll naka2 before khambataki ghat-khambataki ghat-5 km after ghat at surul one under construction overbridge for on coming vehicles-turn right under this bridge-wai-pasarani ghat-panchagani.

Hi,
Would be travelling to Mahabaleshwar on the 25th Weekend. After reading most of the posts have got very confused with which route I shall take. I stay in Kondhwa and I guess the easiest way to reach is taking the Katraj exit, once I reach the junction should I take the Mumbai expressway towards lonavla or do I take the Bangalore highway towards Bangalore.

Have done lot of research but cant figure out the route. Can someone kindly help.
