Hi Guys,
I am taking a vacation from 15th to 18th and am planning to do a drive with my wife from 13th to 18th.
I had planned to do Darjeeling-Kalimpong-Gangtok, but with threat to the airports and some tension in the East, i didnt want to go ahead with that idea.
So, now i am down to , a drive on my Fiesta with 5N-6D at my disposal.
I was thinking of a Sirsi-Yana-Karwar-Goa tour, as done superbly by Laluks.
Need some ideas to utilize 6 days well on road from bangalore.

Day -1 BLR-Shimoga-JOG-Honnavar-(If possible Murdeshwar)
Day -2 HONNAVAR/Murudeshwar - Kumta - Gokarna
Day -3 Gokarna - Yana - Sirsi - Dandeli
Day -4 Dandeli - Karwar - Goa
Day -5 Goa
Day -6 Goa - Belgaum - Hubli - BLR

Plan -2
If you want to Avoid Day -3 Gokarna - Yana - Sirsi - Dandeli
You can get an Extra day , This you can either utilize it spending either at Karwar / Goa

1)Blr-Haveri -Sirsi-Yana-Sirsi. Stay
2)Sirsi - Jog -Honnavar -Murdeshwar(if possible maravanthe) -Honnavar. Stay
3)Honnavar- Gokarna-Karwar-Goa. Stay
4) Goa
5) Goa
6) Goa - sawantadi -amboli-belgaum-Blr.

Goa demands atleast 2 days :)

I somehow dont wanna miss the yallapur-Ankola route... I have done jog too many times. But on the other side, dont wanna miss Jog-Honnavar ghat!! Cant satisfy myself at once :)
So i can modify the Day2 to :
2) Sirsi - Yallapur(magod, etc) - Ankola - karwar (stay)
3) Karwar - Gokarna - Karwar - Goa (stay)

agree:Goa demands 2 days at LEAST one for beaches and one for old goa. While karwar doesnt warrant a stay or a visit. Gokarna is worth it.

I dont completely agree with you Goan.

Karwar is a very nice and gifted piece of land. The beach in the evenings is very nice, The devbagh island and the stay at the devbagh resort with the quitest and the nicest beaches i have been to.

A relaxing drive onto the mountains can be done too, to view the sea from the hills. (Sea is next to the hills here).

A visit to the Seabird.

A Local Gudbud icecream can be tried here.

A visit to the kali river-Arabian sea estuary & Sadhashivagad view point.

I dont mind staying at karwar for 1.5 days. and then move on.

Yes there one and its beautiful. Roads may not all that great.

Sirsi-Yellapur (cuts NH63 here)-Dandeli.

This will not go through this Anshi Ghats per (which is Karwar-Kadra-Joida-Dandeli stretch).
But nevertheless it would be an amazing drive. Note it would be pouring now.

The only reason you would like to stay in Karwar is if you get a JLR bookings. Else not worth it.
