The best place I am aware is GRT. But its far on the main 4-lane. The closest luxury place is ITC Fortune. You can can also look at Kingsbury

VIT has a guest house. They usually let out rooms in "Annexe" outside Gate 2 next to All-Mart supermarket. Approx. 2.5-3.0k without breakfast.

Gaurang Mall is exactly opposite the campus between main gate and Gate 3. Suitable if budget and proximity to campus is important. 1.5k or lower.

Rangalaya Royal in Gandhi Nagar on Chittoor-Vellore Main Road is most VFM, around 2km from campus. Autos charge a bomb and one way ride will be 100/150.

Where on the highway do I stay in Greater Noida or thereabouts? Will need secure parking for the motorcycle. Any recommended place to stay on our route?

I stayed at Poppys Anukula Residency near new Bus stand. Pretty decent hotel and had complimentary breakfast (limited spread). This is close to famous Vellore Kitchen restaurant. Had to drive ~ 6KM to VIT campus, that was OK.

Going to Hyderabad tomorrow for three days. Any suggestions for a pretty decent place for a family of four, with two kids? Plan to spend quite some time in IKEA, so any suggestions near that?

LemonTree has a hotel that's a 2 minute walk from the store. I haven't stayed there personally but LemonTree hotels are usually decent and family friendly.

There is a budget option, RedFox, in the same premises as LemonTree in HiTec City.

I do a lot of same day return trips, and these 3-4 hour stay options are turning out to be a real life saver.

Any decent hotels to stay at Gokak, Karnataka, have a trip planned to Maharashtra (from Bangalore) with family and kid, while coming back will halt at Gokak as we want to see Gokak falls and nearby places.

@laluks replied to your question on the travelogue thread - make Belagaum your base to visit Gokak and other places.

Pai Resorts and Sankam Residency are good options (located almost back to back). Sankam has some renovation in progress as per reports from @selfdrive, etc on the Bangalore-Pune/Mumbai thread. Not sure if the work is a hindrance if staying there, please check that.

Hotel Ramdev is another option.

Doing a last minute preparation for a trip to Trivandrum - Kovalam in the next week. Being the busy holiday season most of the good places are already booked. Mediocre ones are raised up, feeling that it's not worth it. Looking for suggestions from the community. Are there any hidden gems or alternate options rather than staying at Kovalam but still being close to Kovalam? Will be driving so no issues in staying 10-15 mins drive from any of the nice beaches around for kids to have fun.

Also any opinion on Bogainvilla Homestay in Kovalam? Looks like a new one and not having any reviews in any of the travel sites. Only few reviews available on google.

Any inputs will be really helpful
