GQ Drive: Christmas - New Year's Eve

It was wonderful meeting up with the Famous Five this morning; self, Hitanshu (Phamilyman) & Narayan made it to Crowne Plaza, Gurgaon to catch up with the trailblazers. Quite a few pics were clicked, hope to see them up soon........

(I understand that Allahabad is now the scheduled halt instead of Varanasi)

Ok guys, We are in allahabad now. Just done with dinner.
Having a relaxed chat.
So far 3000+kms in 3 days.

It was fun man. Had nice traffic jams and we loved it.reasons will be updated when we are back along with those 'memorable' pics. Lol

Updates on 4th day

Left allahabad around 6am. Picked water from sangam and heading varanasi.

Hopefully, we will catch the GQ guys today @ NH6.

@Jothi - lemme know once you guys reach Durgapur BP. I will hand you over / Text you the details of the Hotels in Kharagpur once we meet. i guess you guys are a bit lagging behind schedule.

we (shuvd & I - if he gets well by today) will wait for you @ the NH6 / Durgapur express way intersection (flyover) in a Red Palio / Silver Octy. If Evo joins us - he will be most probably in a Blue vRS.

lol. He is posting from his cellphone. I doubt he can upload images with iffy reception on the NH.

IMO, he can upload the pics from the hotel rooms he is staying and not while travelling on NH. I have already tried this and it is possible OR if the hotel has a wifi it would be much more easier. Yes, it will be slow but it is possible.

With an average of 1000 kms per day, uploading photos would probably be his last priority.

Last I spoke to the troopers, they were settling down at Allahabad for the night, some bad traffic jam just before hitting town, no updates as yet from this morning start. Looks like they are living off the 'Grocery Store' in HVK's Scorpio.

Update:

They are in Bihar now. i guess they are running a bit late (taking Bihar in the morning is definitely a good idea).

i am in touch with MJ. hopefully they will pass through the outskirts of Kolkata by evening / night. They may spend the night around here (as per their plan they wanted to halt at Kharagpur - but taking Kharagpur at night is not a good idea IMO - since the connecting Kolaghat bridge to Kgp is under repair work and they may get stuck there).

Guys, now roads update.
you have to drive in bihar NH to experience the roads.
Excellent. One of the best roads in this drive.
