Hi All,

I am planning to Travel from Chennai to Coimbatore this weekend. Could you please show some light on which route I can prefer ?

I prefer the following route.
Chennai - Vellore - Krishnagiri - Dharmapuri - Thoppur - Mechari - Mettur - Andhiyur - Ammapettai - Athani - Sathy - Coimbatore (500+ km)

As I comfortably crossed Chennai - Krishnagiri in 2hrs 45mints (No Lies) in my Tata Indigo when i went to Salem 3 months back.

You know if you look at the bottom of this thread, there are quite a few threads having the same and latest information. You should post on one of those.

And the answer to your thread is this is the best possible route under current conditions. Krishnagiri - Thoppur is also 4 laned so it should be a breeze. 1 hr or so.

Thoppur - Coimbatore should take max of 4 hrs.
