Delhi-Kabul-London-Amsterdam-New York-San Francisco-Tokyo-Seoul-Beijing-Kathmandu-Moradabad-Thakurdwara-Kashipur-Ram Nagar would be a nice route. But might just turn out to be a trifle long.

Would suggest you stick to the Delhi-Hapur-Brijghat-Gajraula-Moradabad-Thakurdwara-Kashipur-Ramnagar route. Watch out for the Hapur-Gajraula stretch and don't even consider late nights or early mornings due to road condition & fog problems.

Not going on self drive.
Driver will be along.

Well there was fog last night & the night before that so be careful. If possible avoid late nights, early mornings might still be possible if the fog situation improves.

Did The same trip on the 28th/29th/30th december (travelogue pending). We started from Delhi midnight and reached Ramnagar after 9 hrs. Thanks to the fog. So if there is still fog around Delhi as Iraghava suggested night driving wont be a good option.

Return Journey started from Ramnagar at 1600 hrs and were in Delhi at 2230 hrs. Had some fog before entering Delhi.

Abhinav If I may suggest if you staying at Dhikala please take a trip to Kanda FRH, the jungle route is really pretty and very rugged. Chances of spotting Elephants and Bears increase on Kanda route but the rest of the animals are difficult to spot on that route. Next time I am gonna stay in Kanda FRH itself, I found it more peacefull than Dhikala

We drove down from Delhi to Ramnagar in our vehicle and then parked our vehicle at a hotel in Ramnagar and hired an open gypsy from there. Hiring charges were 800 rs per day plus the petrol we consumed. That way we could take the gypsy wherever we wanted to go.

Guys

Thanks for the reply

Most probably we will go in a CR-v and a Safari

We are planning for 2 nights Jim Corbett and 2 nights Naini tal.

We are going to Jim Corbett by the route Ishan suggested.
What route should we take from Jim Corbett to Nainital and from Nainital to Delhi.

We are going to Jim Corbett only now.
Not staying in Dhikala but going there for a 6 hour safari.
I have been through the whole Dhikala deky. Even driven in those places.

I have a guy who has been taking me in the jungle safaris for the last 2/3 years..
Never charges more to me.
Thanks for the route Ishan

How much time will it take us to reach Jim Corbett suppose we leave at 4. ( Depending on Fog )!?

4am? If no fog then with one stop you should be there in 6 hours max. I normally do the whole thing is 3.5-4 hours but I know the roads like the back of my hand & don't take any stops at all.

I'll be leaving at 4 am from my house.
Collecting the thing about which the mention on Team-Bhp is now banned from my driver's house. Then pick up friends from Model town and 1 who will be waiting at ISBT and then off. So technically around 4.30

Depending on Fog. ( that is) . We will take a stop for tea ( necessary for the driver) and somewhere midway ( some resort dont remember the name for breakfast ) Then non stop to Corbett River View Retreat. ( Corbett Hideaway's sister resort)
