The road conditions on both sides -- UP and Nepal -- are fine. In fact, on the UP side, it is butter-smooth, except for the Baharaich town. But that is only about two kilometeres, and is still manageable.

The road manners, once you leave Lucknow, are again okay, but till you reach the border area. On this side, that is Rupaidiha side, beware of the manners of the two-wheeler guys. Be very cautious. They are quite careless drivers.

On the Nepal side, it is all very fine. And inside the territory in Nepal, road rules seem to be enforced pretty well too.

It was too short for another full thread. I thought that this would anyway give details of entering Nepal from the Rupaidiha side, which is also closest from Lucknow.
