I just did bangalore-hyderabad this weekend. The roads are far better than what they were a couple of years back. There are still a few bad patches but not unmotorable ones. I left at 4:30am in the morning from my home and reached at 12:30pm at the Gachibowli hyderabad outer ring road junction. No stops other than one short restroom/fuel break at Gooty.

On the way back I started at 6am and amazingly was home in bangalore by 1pm. I did drive a lot faster this time though and there was hardly any traffic.

map is fine. only thing from Hosur road turning to Bannerghata Road is not a perpendicular turn, it's more of veering into right fork, that's all.

If you do it successfully this time, next time will give you the road with even lesser traffic, but that will have more twists and turns

If everything (GPS / maps etc.) fails, stop and ask for directions. Beats a GPS anyday.

Your best bet, if you think you are lost, is a traffic constable / inspector.

Anand, you did ask the route info and the bangalore folks were so ever helpful.

Now it becomes your duty to inform them ( especially Arindam) and others how was the drive? route update? Also if can we expect a travelogue as well?

I'm afraid C-A-D has got confused & has possibly lost his way trying to follow all the directions we gave him. Should we orgranize a search party ?
