Traffic Snarl at Walayar Check Post

Been reading in the news for the past few days that goods vehicles have been piling up on the Kerala-TN border at Walayar because of slow clearing of the trucks due to a manpower crunch. This I believe has also been affecting the passenger traffic that uses the green channel because of the trucks blocking the road.
Anyone traveled on the route recently? What is the kind of delay? I am planning a trip to Mysore and need to finalize my route.

i travelled from bangalore to kochi on 21st and reached back yesterday. Yes the queue for the truck is pretty long but other vehicles arent affected by that , at least when i was travelling. they have a seperate lane. i was also concerned about my return trip seeing the news.

Well glad to know that you got through rajesh, but I suppose on the odd day the trucks not having much space to manoeuvre could be obstructing the green channel causing temporary hiccups.

I belive that even the green channel typically gets clogged on weekends but thats only during the late night to early morning times when the turcks with perishables try to passs thecheckposts. I ave noticed this on most days when i drive home .

During daytime there would not be any problems ...
