Chennai to Bhadrachalam.

Hi mates.

Planning to take a road trip from chennai to bhadrachalam. Need route and guide points from fellow TBHPian who have already done this route.

I planning to do this trip this month end on my siena. Or god willing, even take my Xylo, if it is delivered by then. (OT: It was supposed to be delivered today, but the dealer has no idea where the car is)

Anyways. I have done trips till Kakinada Via Vijayawada. Heard, it takes about 4 - 5 hrs from Vijayawada to reach bhadrachalam. Pls advise.

Looks like you need to get to Vijayawada from Chennai.
That is a straight road NH5. One of the finest 4 lane roads around here.

For the rest of the route. Am sorry I cannot quite help you.

I believe you can't drive all the way there.
I think you need to take a boat at some point, to reach bhadrachalam.

Hi,
From Hyderabad i used to go to Kothagudem/Bhadrachalam only through Khammam. I presume from vijayawada you need to touch khammam and proceed to destination.

I have done this route in 1994 and hence do not have any idea about the road conditions now.

The route followed is as below

Vijayawada -Mylavaram-Kothagudem-BHadhrachalam.

You need to take the Hyderabad road after crossing Krishna River from Guntur side. You need to travel 10 kms on Hyderabad and take a right to go Mylavaram. I think the road from the junction is now a NH.
