Is "Shirdi-Mumbai" route safe for night travelling !!

I have done it couple of time, last time I drove. started at 8:00 pm and reached shirdi at 2 a.m. freshened up and had good darshan.
as told earlier, do not take the shorter route, go via Nashik.
last time I went most part of the highway was under construction still no jams or anything. I guess highway should be in good shape now. Plan to go again next month.
