Hi friends,

I am planning for a vacation with my friend (2 families) during 01Sep. It would be my Cruze & his veteran Bolero. Details are not finalized yet.

Things decided:
Tentative places to cover would be Madurai & Kanyakumari.
We would drive at day-time.

Questions to you:
General route condition- any recent update due to rain.
Decent (Sasta & Tikau) lodging & food- on the way.
FYI, we are targeting for TTDC & Kanyakumari.
How many days would make a good trip.

Roads are great. No problems.
Eateries are A2B at Shoolagiri between Hosur & Krishnagiri, GRT at Salem bypass, ARisto after Karur and Fantasy after Dindigul.
You can go and come back in max 3 days.

Some more decent eateries on NH 7 from Bangalore to Kanyakumari:

1. Kamat Upachar attached to Reliance pumps one each on LHS and RHS between Hosur and Krishnagiri.

2. McDonalds, Cafe Coffee Day and Sri Krishna Inn attached to HPCL COCO retail outlet at Shoolagiri between Hosur and Krishnagiri on LHS.

3. Adyar Ananda Bhavan attached to BPCL Ghar Dhaba COCO retail outlet at Thoppur after descending the ghat on RHS.
