Any latest tips on a Baroda-Mumbai trip planned for tomorrow morning? How are the road conditions around Ankleshwar/ Surat? I'm planning to start at 4 AM from Baroda. Cross Surat by 6:30 AM and get into Mumbai by 10 AM. Is it too optimistic?

Early morning form Baroda will see you through to Bombay without any trouble. From Baroda to Ankleshwar it is a great 6-lane road, but Ankleshwar town flyovers are causing serious traffic jams during day time (but early morning before 7 am is no problem). From Ankleshwar to Surat, the drive will be OK too, and the Surat flyovers (under construction) will not be jammed that early.
