Something to do with service road for Nelamangala-devihalli ? Is Nelamangala-Hassan planned to become expressway for Bangalore-Mangalore?

I see lot of flyovers on all the villages from Hirasave to Hassan. Maybe they will construct full service road and make it expressway? hope it will be someday.

CR Patna bypass was 2-laned, which was being converted to 4-lane during the last 2 years or so.

I am planning a trip from Bangalore to Chikmagalur soon, with my family. Will someone guide on the route and the road conditions. And on hilly terrain and narrow roads will Creta be safer bet than Innova Hycross. Thanks.

You can take the obvious Hasana - Belur road, gmaps will also suggest the same . Roads are good throughout. Enjoy the drive.

Can Innova Hycross be taken to various locations in Chikmagalur as I think the roads are not too wide, generally in hilly terrain.

As long as you can correctly judge the left edge of your car, and can drive with correct hill driving etiquette it is no big deal considering much larger vehicles traverse the same roads on a daily basis.

Depends on where you are headed and what you intend to do.

It has been raining non stop this past week; roads have deteriorated and there have been a few landslides enroute Mullayyanagiri and Bababudangiri. Tourist vehicles were prevented from travelling this way yesterday.

The district administration has in fact issued an official advisory requesting visitors to put off their travel plans until after this bout of rain subsides.

That said, if you intend to stay put in any homestay or resort without bothering about extra sightseeing, Chikkamagaluru is still a viable destination for a monsoon weekend.

I am planning to visit this weekend, and will be leaving tomorrow morning from BLR on a RE Himalayan, will be accompanied by a friend on his Scram 411

Any particular Do's and Don'ts?

Folks planning to visit Bababudangiri and Mullayyanagiri next weekend may please make note that the district administration has restricted tourist entry in the area from 04.11.2023 (6 am) to 06.11.2023 (10 am).

Hi, i need some advice on route part.
I am planning to travel from Chikmangulur to Bangalore ( RMZ Ecospaces)
I will be riding on my Bike solo, so need some safe and fast route.
I need some below information.
Will it be good idea to start from Chikmangulur early around 5:00 am to avoid traffic of Bangalore.
or should i start late evening so that i enter Bangalore later in evening or in night time for avoiding traffic?
Plus any additional information like how much time will it take, which route to take and any pit stop recommendations please.
