Hi All,

Im plannig a trip to Chikmagalur with my family. Suggestions needed for,

1. Stay options - Home stay / resorts for 5 adults and 1 kid
2. Route options - Chn to Bangalore is fine for me and then onwards need help.
3. Which would be the best location to keep it as a base in Chikmagalur since i dont want to keep moving back and forth from the resort / home stay.
4. Most of the Homestays are charging per Person, Is that how it works at Chikmagalur?
5. Any other suggestions.

Please don't venture here until there is a bit of rain.

The whole district is parched dry and therefore there is nothing that should entice you for a visit, as yet! If you are really keen, look for places around Kalasa and Horanadu; you might find some respite from heat there.

Depends on what your areas of interest are. For a cursory visit to the hills, experience of coffee plantations and access to the town, any establishment around Kaimara would be ideal.

Most of the Homestays are charging per Person, Is that how it works at Chikmagalur

Homestays and many resorts too charge that way. It is mostly because of the three meals component built into the package.

+1 Visited Chikkamagaluru and Sringeri last week and it was very hot. Would recommend that you look at other options if you are looking for a relatively cool place to relax with family.
