Waterfalls around Bangalore?

Hi Folks,

I would like to know the waterfalls near Bangalore, around 200-250 Kms. It should be drivable in one day like starting at 5 AM and reaching home around 10 PM. I know few places like Shivasamudram, Mekhedhadu. I am sure, there are more than these. I guess, this is the best season to visit waterfalls in Karnataka as they are filled with plenty of water.

Thanks

No second thought, Shivanasamudra in Mandya district. Search the keyword Sivasamudra in TBHP, there are lot of posts.

Nice lists. And the Balmuri & Yedamuri falls in Mysore. It will be great fun when KRS is full. I believe that it goes through this place to reach Shivanasamudra, and then to Hogenakkal.

Kalahasti Falls - Chikkamagaluru
Iruppu Falls - Near Nagarahole
Hebbe Falls - Near Kemmanagundi, Chikkamagaluru. This is a combination of Hill Station, Trekking place (Need to trek down to the falls) and water Falls.

Hogenikal Falls

Jog Falls is about 370 Kms, if you wish to drive around with your RitZ.

Water Falls in Karnataka

Hebbe Falls is also pretty good, though at 300Km from Bangalore.

It is not Kalahasti Falls, it is Kalhatti falls.

It was a nice place earlier, but now has become dirty with all the boozing, dumping waste food and littering happening. Visit only if it is on the way to your destination.
