A small flash back. During June 09, we had planned a north India tour during the month of sep ( sep 26 -Oct 4) and accordingly, we made all arrangements for the travel ( flight, hotel bookings).
But, as we neared the date, a villain has come in the form of swine flue and lot of people has advised us not to travel till all settle down. Even we had our own apprehensions on travelling by flight.
Result: we have cancelled all the bookings that we had made.

Now what ? I have around 9 days at my disposal and definitely doesn't want to stay at home and hence started thinking whether I can do a road trip. Now, I have covered almost all places in kerala (being my home state) and Tamil nadu and hence, looking to cover Karnataka, andhra and goa.

Can some one suggest some good itinery that I can use for spending my 9 days. I am planning to do the trip on my car.The dates are Sep 26 - Oct 4 (starting from bangalore and need to be back in Bangalore on Oct 4)

there are several options

1. Coastal Karnataka & Goa
2. Hampi, Badami, Aihole, Gulburga, Bidar
3. Mysore, Ooty, Kodai, Munnar,
4. Shravanabelagola, Belur, Halebidu, Coorg, Nagarahole
5. Chennai, Pondy, Rameshwaram, Kanyakumari
6. Hyderabad and around

1.start early from blore.reach ooty for late lunch.3 nights ooty.

start from ooty on the 4th day morning after breakfast.drive to munnar via coimbatore,udumulpet.reach munnar for late lunch.4th,5th,6th nights @ munnar

7th day after breakfast start for allepppey/kumarakom backwater,either stay on a houseboat or do a houseboat day trip and come back to a hotel to stay the night.8th day morning begin to drive to valparai via chalakudy.Stay 8th night at a tea bungalow in valparai.

9th day morning drive back to bangalore.:)

I am off to Goa for 3-4 days during that time. :D You will get good deals and less crowd. Best time to just relax.

I heard it is raining hard in munnar. Im planning a trip in the first week of september. Can some one comment on this.

Thanks to all. I don't want to travel again to ooty,cbe,munnar as I have covered all these places in the past. My idea was to cover some parts of KA, Goa and if possible Andhra
