Condition of NH3

I will be in India in November and Planning to make a trip to Mumbai, Pune, Ganpatipule and Mahabaleshwar from Indore. I wanted to know the road condition on NH3 between Indore and Mumbai. I know this section of NH3 was being converted to dual carriageway but I wanted to get the lastest status. According to some news dual carriageway is ready and operational between Indore and Khalghat and some sections in MH. I am plannign to drive back to Indore from Pune via Nagar, Shirdi, Manmad, Malegaon, NH3. I would appreciate the information about the route and places to stay in Mahabaleshwer.

Hi Niks

Indore to Khalghat section was ready for opening this month.i had read in Online edition of dainik Bhaskar, it was to be opened somewhere around 15th August.
