Hi Guys,
Would be heading out to Mahabaleshwar on the weekend of 26th Sep from Mumbai.
We are planning to drive thru the Expressway -Wai route as that route is generally in good codition. Any pointers on the Mahad route also as I have always enjoyed driving from that side but the roads from Poladpur have been generally bad.

Also can someone provide inputs to good food places on the way as we are planning on leaving Mumbai at approx 3:00 PM on Saturday (cant leave earlier ), hence would be stopping some place along the way for evening snacks and maybe an early dinner.

Same question on the return route too. We would be leaving Mahabaleshwar at 2:00 PM on Monday hence any inputs for food places on the way back.

Also any good food places at Mahabaleshwar?

There are some senior citizens and a bunch of kids with us this time hence all the food questions.

food places on mumbai-pune-mahabaleshwar route.

1] hotel amruta at khed shivapur after crossing shindewadi tunnel on nh4 after pune. good place. it is on left side while going toward mahaby. its big hotel and you can't miss signage. veg/nonveg. good place for snacks also.

2] hotel rainforest after panchgani and at parsi point. good hotel for food. it is on right side while going toward mahaby. it is bang at side of parsi point. veg/nonveg. it its raining, chilly wind, avoid this hotel. it is best for daytime views.

3] usual mapro point after parsi point but it is too near to mahaby. pure veg.

food places on mahaby-poladpur-mumbai route.

1] viththal kamat hotel at mahad. it is on highway at right side while going toward mumbai. pure veg

2] hotel visava at mahad. veg/nonveg
