Hi Everyone. I am planning to visit Jaisalmer in my Chevy Aveo in the coming month and have identified 2 route options. Delhi - Jaipur - Jodhpur - Jaisalmer and second one is Delhi - Narnaul - Jhunjhunu - Nauguar (or Bikaner) - Jaisalmer. Kindly advice me on the following

1) Preferred road with road quality as the criteria - may not be the shortest.
2) Does this route require any need to carry additional fuel along in case fuel pumps are not available in the upcountry Rajasthan?
3) Estimated travel time.
4) Any other tips.

If this one is a pleasure trip, then I would suggest you to go via Jodhpur and return via Bikaner.

Regarding the Jodhpur route, truck traffic on the NH8 after Krishangarh(where GQ ends) can slow you down till Bewaar. Otherwise, this route is shorter and usually preferred.

I have found fuel quality in Rajasthan inferior, except for Jaipur city.
