Urgent -- route inquiry -- Pune Bangalore

hi,

My sisters six month old kid is to undergo a bypass surgery at Narayan Hrudayalaya in Bangalore. My sis, bro-in-law and kid are already there and the operation is scheduled for tomorrow morning at 7 am.

I am in Pune and got a distress call from them asking me to come over if feasible. Whats the best option available for me to reach bangalore

a) by road ( by car). Google maps is showing me a route via Solapur and Yahoo is showing me once Via Kolhapur.
b) by flight ( via Mumbai) since there are more flight options in Mumbai

Train and Volvo are ruled out since it takes a longer time
.
please respond to this post or pm me.

Thanks

Kalpesh

Car will take you at least 10 -12 hours. SO better rush to airport and checkin the flight what ashish suggetsed.

I would also not suggest to drive as you are not in good mood and may not concentrate 100% time on driving.

Hi,

There is a service called Airawat by KSRTC. There are two Airawat Volvo buses that leave Pune at 4 pm and 5 pm daily. These two can make you reach in time for the operation, IMHO. You could ask the travels desk as well and if they do confirm what I say, you have an additional option

Best wishes

I'd suggest not to drive down in an emergency. Better to go by air. There are many options (go to cleartrip) if you have to make it till 7AM tomorrow.

hi Friends -- thanks for the suggestions --

had to be at work too today; hence could not leave immediately.

I have booked a flight out of Mumbai to Blore for tonight and a flight back tomorrow night to Mumbai.

MUM-BLR-MUM option was the one i was about to suggest.

Wish the baby fast recovery from the operation.
