The Bhogi Nandeeshwara temple near Nandi hills is a good option. Take a left from the highway towards Nandi hills. When you get to the T-junction, go right. The left would take you to Nandi hills. Continue until you reach Nandi village. I had been there about 2 yrs back. I think there are some posts on TBHP about this temple.

If you have to cover them in a day, then you need restrict the above list. Chikka-Tirupathi is near Sarjapur, and the most of the rest on the Tumkur road and nearby areas. Hence need to plan accordingly.

Malur Krishna, Maddur Narasimha swamy, B.R. Hills (Biligiri Ranganatha), Melkote, Srirangapatna, Karighatta etc. Within how much km radius you want to travel?

Let me know incase you need more details about these places mentioned.

If you haven't been to B.R. Hills then I would recommend you to visit this place.

Nagamangala

You can try Channa Keshava temple in Nagamangala. Its a very nice temple. The telephone number of the priest 'Thiru Narayanan' is +91 9448750603.

There are two routes of appraoching this temple (Around 80-90 kms from bangalore). One is via Mysore road and take a right turn before maddur towards Koppa and proceed from there. Nice road which goes through scenic villages where you get to see lots of birds. Other is the route via Nelamangala which I don't prefer as it is quite dry.

If you call Mr Narayanan in advance he will arrange the temple prasad as lunch as the hotel options near Nagamangala are not that good

Re: Temple Tour in/around Bangalore

Found this to be an appropriate thread for my query -
Need to get my 1 year old daughter's head tonsured. Are there any Perumal/Murugan/Subramanian temples in and around Bangalore where this can be done?

Thanks for guidance.

Re: Temple Tour in/around Bangalore

Windride, The appropriate place for this would be Ghati Subramanya temple about 70km from Bangalore located near Doddaballapur. This is considered as
second most sacred temple for Subramanya after Kukke in Karnataka.

Is it the one located near Ulsoor bus stop or the one located on Bazaar Road opp. Ulsoor Police Station? There are two famous temples in Ulsoor.

The Murugan/Subramanyah temple is the one near Ulsoor bus stop (diagonally opposite to this is the Ulsoor Metro station).
The Someshewara temple is a much older heritage temple located near Ulsoor Police station/Bazaar Street.

You can also check the Venkateshwara temple in JP Nagar near 24th main. And for what it is worth, check the TTD temple in Vyalikaval near Malleswaram. As someone mentioned Ghati Subramanya is a very nice temple and the drive is also pretty scenic in case you wish to convert into a sight seeing one as well.
