My requirements
April End
3 Family members(includes one 2.5 yr old son who does not like to travel long distances)
Preferably 250-350 kms near Delhi
Occassoin:Anniversary

Thanks
I would suggest Chail (Himachal) or Kausani (Uttrakhand), both are very calm and peaceful locations compared to places like Shimla/Nainital which are very crowded and congested.

I agree too, and can plan for the same. Only thing is that i do not know which resorts to consider. I am ok with a room of upto 5-7k per night.

I stayed at the below resorts in Kausani and Chail

1) Chevron Mountain Villa @ Kausani, http://www.chevronhotels.com/mountai...a-kausani.html

Booking was done via Makemytrip.

You can see some pics of this resort in my post here,

and

2) Village Live In (Chail), http://villagelivein.co.in/

Couple of pics here,

Check with others and do some online research as well.

Thanks. Those two look good. I am more inclined towards chail between chail and kasauni, since the distance is lesser to travel. However the link that you provided doesn't seem to work right now. Yes i am working on personal online research but had a near to bad experience last year when i went to one resort in Bhimtal looking at the ratings on trip advisor(was #1 in Bhimtal at that time) and got disappointed on seing the actual resort. Its not that i am very choosy but i think a lot of those reviews are seasonal and some times manipulated. So thought should check some personal experiences.

I am also considering Chail palace. Read that you visited the place too in your post.Any idea if the prices are fixed there or do we get any discounts on these govt holdings as well?

Thanks for your help

Yes, Chail is closer for you and easier to reach.

Regarding Chail Palace, we just visited that place, didn't stay there. So, i am not sure if they offer any discounts.

Here is the contact details for Village Live In,
