Bharat Darshan Special Tourist Train

Hello.
Iam planning on gifting a sighseeing tour across India to my parents by using IRCTC's "Bharat Darshan Special Tourist Train" option.

Anyone here has availed of this service? Any first hand report?

Could they do this tour on a train? If so, please share the experience.

They should have one along the lines of golden quadrilateral to touch N.E.W.S of india.

I gifted this darshan tour to my parents in September 2014. Along with them some known families were also participated.

Their experience was really positive. Right from food quality to travel arrangements for sightseeing was exceptional. This was most comfortable way compared to any other form of tour. No luggage to carry, no worry of minor arrangements.

Food was always delivered on time no matter where ever tourists were, in train or at some sight. When train halts at particular location, buses were ready for sightseeing. Luggage was safeguarded always in train by authorities.

This format of tour covers lot of point of interests because train covers journey in night while tourists are having good sleep.

Arrangement for morning rituals was also satisfactory.

And this format is mostly attended by elder people, for them it is like minded group. This really brings joy in the journey as you are traveling in really big group.
