Best Route from Nanjangud to Kabini-Nagarahole

Hi Friends,

We are planning to visit Nanjangud temple and move towards Kabini & Nagarhole national park in a single day.

As per Google maps, it says:

Route 1:
Nanjangud-Begur-Beerwal-Sargur-Kabini Dam-HD Kote

Route 2:
Kadakola (Just before Nanjangud)-Chattanahalli-Hampapura-Sargur-Agathur-Kabini Dam

Route 3:
Nanjangud-Mysore-Mananthavady Road

We want to cover Nanjangud in morning.
By afternoon, we want to visit Kabini dam and surroundings.
Not sure about lunch option. Will JLR or other resort allow us for lunch only for outside customers. Or We have to think of packed food.
Visit Nagarhole Safari Mini-Bus at 3pm.
Back to Bangalore.

We are 4 adults & 2 kids.

Please suggest.

I have seen a diversion to Kabini, between Nanjangud and Mysore. When I looked at google maps, it seems that the diversion I saw was the one which goes via Chattanhalli and hits the Manavantvadi road and there onwards to Kabini.

The other route through Begur seems to be longer.

But sorry have no idea whatsoever about these roads.
Never been through here.

I consulted the locals for road conditions. The begur road in driveable but roads are not that great. So, I took left deviation from Kodkana Industrial Junction while coming from N'gud. (Not sure if thats the name).
From here it touches the Mysore-H.D.Kote road. It was in very good shape. Drive was comfortable.
Reached H.D. kote. Visited Kabini Dam and enroute visited Nagarhole as well.

Yes. It is a deviation just after upcoming Mysore Airport.

Yes that is the one I remember seeing on the way.
